The development and evaluation of an internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy program to alleviate treatment-induced menopausal symptoms in patients with breast cancer. The rationale behind this therapy program is that this relatively young patient group has expressed their need for supportive care in dealing with menopausal symptoms. The effectiveness of this intervention was evaluated in a randomized controlled trial, initiated in 2019. It was found that patients gain more insight in their menopausal symptoms and better recognize symptoms. The program provides information and suggestions how to handle these syptoms as well.
