Yvonne Geurts

PhD student

Since January 2018, I am working as a PhD-student at the department of Psychosocial research and Epidemiology in the group of Flora van Leeuwen. My project focuses on the long-term risks of second malignancies and cardiovascular diseases following treatment of aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The project is funded by the Dutch Cancer Society.

Work experience

- 2012-2015: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Radboud University, Nijmegen, the Netherlands

- 2015: As part of my bachelor’s I performed a research internship at the Comprehensive Cancer Centre (IKNL) in Utrecht, the Netherlands

- 2015-2017: Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Radboud University, Nijmegen, with a major in Epidemiology and a major in Human Pathobiology

- 2016: As part of my major Epidemiology, I performed a research internship at the Cancer Epidemiology Centre at the Cancer Council Victoria, in Melbourne, Australia

- 2017: As part of my major Human Pathobiology, I performed a research internship at the Center for Cancer Immune Therapy at the Herlev Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark
