Ruben Potthoff

I joined Sanne Schagen’s cognition group in August 2022 as a PhD student. Here, I build cognitive models to study memory impairment in cancer survivors.

I investigate the effects that cancer treatments have on underlying memory processes, as well as whether specific interventions are better at treating specific memory problems. I’ll also be analyzing the relationship between impaired memory processes, brain measures, demographics and patient-reported outcomes.

My research aims to provide the tools to more appropriately support cancer survivors, as well as granting insight into specific risk factors and potential intervention targets.
