Many cancer survivors experience long-lasting quality of life  (QoL) issues as a result of their cancer diagnosis and/or treatment side effects. Given the rising number of cancer survivors due to treatment advances, a European initiative to enhance health-related quality of life (HRQOL) is crucial. In February 2025, I joined Lonneke van de Poll-Franse's group as a PhD student on an EORTC-funded project, contributing to the pan-European research agenda for impactful HRQOL interventions. My research focuses on European variations in patient experiences (e.g., satisfaction with care, rehabilitation practices, lifestyle factors) and their link to QoL. I am also undertaking psychometric validation of QoL modules for breast, colorectal, and prostate cancer, and will investigate how QoL changes over time among cancer survivors. My primary research interest revolves around the psychosocial aspects of QoL in cancer survivorship.
