Matteo Fusaglia

I obtained the PhD in biomedical Engineering at the University of Bern, Switzerland, where I worked on surgical navigation for laparoscopic liver surgery. Within this context, I developed an image-guidance system that provides augmented reality between the surgical scene and preoperative 3D anatomical models. This system was validated in several procedures, including robotic navigation. Currently I am employed at the Netherlands Cancer Institute where I continue working on surgical navigation and where I am developing a navigation system based on head-mounted display.
