I received a BSc in Pure Mathematics (2006) at the Mohaghegh Ardabili University, in Iran, and a MSc in Mathematical Statistics (2009) at the University of Tehran. In 2012 I moved to Spain, where I did a PhD on Nonparametric estimation of transition probabilities in non-Markov multi-state models at the University of Vigo. My PhD was part of the Marie-Curie Initial Training Network MEDIASRES.
After receiving my PhD in 2016, I started a one year postdoctoral research in Biostatistics at the Faculty of Medicine, Aix-Marseille University (SESSTIM) in France. In 2017, I was a Visiting Fellow in Applied Statistics at the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM) in Bilbao, Spain for 6 months. After that, I worked for 18 months as a statistical expert on statistical modeling (including innovative Bayesian methods and Machine Learning) in the artificial intelligence company Sherpa.ai, also in Bilbao.
