Laura Torroba Vicario

In September 2024, I joined the Elzo de Wit lab as a PhD student, where I will use computational methods to study cohesin and its associated proteins and their function in the 3D genome organization.

During my previous internship at Utrecht University, I used deep learning to study the cis-regulatory elements associated with early termination or productive elongation by RNA polymerase II. Here, I became interested in gene regulation and chromatin biology and organization.
