Kelly de Ligt, PhD is a postdoctoral researcher and project lead at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, focusing on the implementation of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in clinical care. Her research aims to enhance health-related quality of life (HRQoL) by integrating PROMs into routine oncology practice, with a special interest in patient participation, shared decision-making, and effective patient communication. She has led multiple projects exploring innovative ways to present PROM data, such as personalized narratives, to improve patient engagement and care outcomes. At the cutting edge of health, communication, and digital innovation, she actively collaborates with experts from Tilburg University to develop scalable, evidence-based interventions that empower patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems to optimize survivorship care. Her vision for the future of cancer survivorship care is to bridge the gap between data-driven insights and meaningful, patient-centered care, ensuring that cancer survivors receive personalized support based on their unique experiences and needs.

In addition to her research, she serves as a board member of the EORTC Quality of Life Group, where she contributes to international efforts in advancing quality-of-life research in cancer care.
