Iris Glykofridis

I completed a MSc in Oncology, followed by a PhD at the Amsterdam UMC, where I worked on the cancer predisposition syndrome Birt-Hogg-Dubé. We created a novel model system to dissect FLCN’s function in renal cells and investigated how FLCN inactivation contributes to the development of renal cancer.

In May 2022, I joined the group of Hein te Riele as a Postdoctoral fellow. Here, my project aims to optimize and help implement a diagnostic test to classify disease-causing mutations in Lynch syndrome, a form of hereditary colorectal cancer.
