I completed my Bachelors and Masters at Portsmouth University in the UK before moving to London for my PhD at Brunel University, where I investigated chromosome instability from fork fusion events during DNA replication in bacteria in the Rudolph lab.

During my PhD I had multiple lecturing contracts in molecular biology and pharmacology. After deciding to move to Amsterdam, I wanted to find an exciting cancer research project and was drawn to the excellent work happening in the van Steensel lab. My interest in molecular genetics and chromosome biology equips me well to contribute to understanding cancer through genetic lens at the NKI.
