Email Valesca Retel Wim van Harten Health Technology AssessmentClaudia Imaz is a hospital pharmacist who specialised in oncology during her time in the UK. After gaining extensive clinical experience, she pursued her growing interest in healthcare systems and policy by completing a master’s degree in Health Economics, Policy, and Management at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. Following her master’s, she worked with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in the Health Division, contributing to key projects on mental health inequalities and long-term care financing.
Claudia is now a PhD candidate at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI), where her research, guided by Profs. V. Retèl and W. van Harten at NKI, and Prof. C. Uyl-de Groot at the Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM), focuses on transparency, equity, and access within the pharmaceutical sector as part of the European Fair Pricing Network (EFPN).
With a background in oncology pharmacy and a strong commitment to health policy, Claudia is dedicated to advancing transparency and equity in the pharmaceutical market, working to ensure life-saving treatments are both accessible and affordable.
