Thesis defense Riccardo Mezzadra

On February 19th, Riccardo Mezzadra succesfully defended his thesis. He used genetic manipulation tools in order to redirect T cells and to explore how immune cells and cancerous cells interact. He improved some T cell redirecting strategies and identified previously uncharacterized proteins that are used by cancer to evade the immune system. Riccardo now works as a postdoc at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. Congratulations, Riccardo!
