New Chairman of the Board Netherlands Cancer Institute: Maurice van den Bosch

The Supervisory Board appoints Prof. Dr. Maurice van den Bosch (1974) as Chairman of the Executive Board of the Netherlands Cancer Institute, effective January 1, 2024. He will be succeeding Chairman Prof. Dr. René Medema who will continue his career as Board Member/Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology as of April 1, 2024.

Van den Bosch has extensive experience as a hospital executive, medical specialist and researcher. He has been the CEO/ Chairman of the Executive Board at OLVG since 2017 and also the Chairman of the Santeon Group, a network of seven top-ranking clinical hospitals in the Netherlands, since 2020. Van den Bosch is a professor in Interventional Radiology at UMCU.
