Foundation of Piet Borst Lecture Fund

To commemorate the 90th birthday of Piet Borst, former Chair of the Executive Board who still maintains his ties to the Netherlands Cancer Institute, the Piet Borst Lecture Fund has been founded.

Piet's former colleagues covered the deposits for the fund. The result will be used to organize the yearly Piet Borst lecture at the Netherlands Cancer Institute over the next 25 years, during which the most renowned scientists from the Netherlands and abroad will speak in the series of lectures.

Initiators Titia de Lange, Roel Nusse, and Rene Bernards want to use this occasion to honor Piet Borst for his important contributions to cancer research in the Netherlands.
