Medical oncologist and research group leader Emile Voest is the current director of Cancer Core Europe, a collaboration between 7 top comprehensive cancer centers in Europe, and used to be the Executive Medical Director of the Netherlands Cancer Institute until 2021. He has been a Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Utrecht (UMC) since 1999, and has been leading a research group at Oncode Institute since 2019. He has founded and led several innovative precision medicine initiatives in oncology.
Emile Voest is the co-founder and non-executive board member of the Hartwig Medical Foundation (large-scale DNA analyses), is a board member of the Center for Personalized Cancer Treatment, and leads several innovative precision oncology clinical trials. Over the last years, he has also held various leadership roles in medical societies such as ESMO and ASCO. Emile Voest earned a PhD in medicine from the University of Utrecht.
