"I am happy that I eventually persisted. After a year and a half of full-time research, I have now really completed it! " Daan worked in nuclear medicine, in which doctors use radioactivity to make medical scans or to irradiate a tumor from the inside. He has just started working at Siemens Healthineers in Germany, where he makes the link between hospital doctors and technicians within the company to start new studies for breast cancer patients. "The business community suits me, with the pressure and targets involved. At the same time I have always experienced the atmosphere at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as very pleasant and special. " Good luck Daan!
Daan's doctoral research was made possible in part by a donation from a highly motivated patient via the AVL Foundation. Read more about this on MyAntonet.
