Dr. Sabine Vogler is Head of the Pharmacoeconomics Department of the Austrian National Public Health Institute and is Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Policies, which is affiliated to the Pharmacoeconomics Department. Sabine Vogler is a senior health economist with in-depth expertise on pharmaceutical pricing /prices, reimbursement and distribution, as well as cost-containment reforms, access and affordability issues and has knowledge of the pharmaceutical policy frameworks in Austria, European and Central Asian countries and globally. Sabine Vogler has been working on pharmaceutical policy analysis for over 20 years: she coordinated several research projects at national and European levels, and she has been providing technical support and policy advice to public authorities and international institutions. She co-founded the PPRI (Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Information) network of competent authorities in more than 50 countries. She has been providing trainings and capacity-building to professionals and students. She published around 170 studies, including peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals.
