Context of gene mutations plays important role in non-small cell lung cancer

The effect that gene switch PRC2 (polycomb repressor complex-2) has on the development of non-small cell lung cancer is found to be largely dependent on other combinations of mutations in cancer-causing genes. Postdocs Michela Serresi and Gaetano Gargiulo, working in the research group of Maarten van Lohuizen, showed this in an article in the newest edition of Cancer Cell, published on Monday January 11th.
