Be Open About Animal Research Day (#BOARD) is a yearly initiative by the European Animal Research Association (EARA). For 24 hours, biomedical institutions around the world show the importance of transparency in animal research on social media. Last year, we joined more than 1000 other institute in celebrating this campaign. To provide open and transparent communication surrounding animal research, the Netherlands Cancer Institute signed the transparency agreement about research using animals in 2021.
